The dates have now been set for our next fat loss contest, all current and past members of the club are eligible to enter, this means, if you have attended our workshop or past bootcamps, you have a shot at winning this contest and taking the cash prize!

Overview

Participants will pay £10 to enter for which they receive a nutritional guide packed with recipes, strategy, and tips. All money goes into a pot and will be split 50/50 between the male and female who see the biggest drop in body fat as a percentage of their total body fat. For example, if you start at 30% and drop to 15%, that is a 50% reduction.

The weighing in/out dates are as follows

Weigh in dates

Thursday 30th May – Either weigh in before the 7pm class in Portishead or arrange a private weigh in in Ashton with Pete.

Friday 31st May – Either way in before the 6pm session in Ashton or arrange a private weigh in with Pete.

Weigh out dates

Thursday 27th June – Either before the 7pm class in Portishead or arrange a private weigh in with Pete.

Friday 28th June – Either way in before the 6pm session in Ashton or arrange a private weigh in with Pete.

Weighing protocol

The method used for measuring body fat is bio-electrical impedance. This method relies on good hydration levels to be accurate. Food and drink consumed, exercise, and the time of day will all effect your hydration levels. Therefore to see an accurate reading its imperative that all contestants use the same protocol when weighing in and out, I would hate for you to lose the comp after putting in some hard work because you messed this up.

These are the rules for weighing

No food 3 hrs prior to weighing

No exercise should be undertaken within 2 hours of weighing

No liquid should be consumed 1 hour prior to weighing

Weigh in and out at roughly the same time of day.

How to enter

If you want to enter, please send me an e-mail and  to arrange your weigh in, I would prefer if you could come to my gym and do it privately, if too many people want to weight at the class it can take too long and this eats into class time, which I won’t have. To be sure that you can weigh on the day that you want its best to arrange it with me now.

If you want to take part in this contest and don’t currently train with us, you should sign up to the beginners workshop which is taking place on Saturday 25th May.

You can find details on that here

The winners will be announced on Saturday 29th June, and we will head into town for some food and drinks to celebrate.

More details about the night out coming.
